Would
you like to join an Adelaide South Australia based cycling
club? Norwood Cycling Club has racing, sport, recreation or
club only membership, please following one of procedures
listed below to join, and yes we do like to meet and welcome
you at our club rooms. An explanation of the various membership
options are listed below. You

Membership
Options
RECREATION
Non-competitive membership; Participation: recreational, social
& charity rides, club training & coffee-shop rides; and Volunteers:
officials, coaches, administrators, supporters.
NB:
Non-competitive events may be timed; however, finishers are
not recorded in order of finishing time. This may include
timed participation rides (eg current CSV Cyclo Sportif, WA
Cyclo Sportif), social and charity rides, recreational rides,
club training and logged group rides.
SPORT
Non-competitive membership extended
to permit participation in timed individual and team-based
road events.
NB: Includes events that are timed and finishers may be
placed in order of finishing time; however, they are not awarded
prizes or recognised on the basis of those placings Does not
include fully competitive and/or championship time trials
RACING Full
competitive license. Encompassing NB: Full open license encompassing
all forms all racing, including mass-start track and road
events and all national and state of racing and participation.
Recognises the risk of full-on competition. championships.
1) Allows you to participate in any road
or track event run under the auspices of Cycling
Australia including its affiliated State Associations, Clubs
or registered promoters. NB; a non-competitive or 'Recreation'
licence membership is not permitted for use in competitive
events.
2)Entitles the rider to compete in all levels of cycling including
club state and Australian championships and if selected, to
represent their State or Australia.
3)Participation structured to your ability and fitness through
graded competition
4)Entitles you to the right to compete against other cyclists
who are free from the use of performance enhancing drugs.
NB; as a licensed rider you can be drug tested at any time.
Both
competitive or non-competitive licences provide third party
(public liability) insurance and a limited personal accident
insurance for all members, officials and volunteers, at any
time when you are participating in CA sanctioned cycling activities,
including organised or endorsed training programs.
How
to Join (you have three
options)
Option 1
Download the forms below and then:
Complete 1 copy of the Norwood Cycling Club membership form.
Complete 3 copies of current year CSA membership form (one
for Cycling SA, one for Norwood Cycling Club, one for yourself)
New Members can then become a member by attending a monthly
meeting with their forms and fees, which are held on the first
Monday of each month, (please see Current News file on
the home page for start time and date) at our club rooms
at 7 George St Stepney.
Option
2
Join online. Just click
this link and fill in the form to complete your membership.
Your license will be mailed to our Secretary and we will then
complete your membership. We do like you to attend a meeting
if you can, so that we can welcome you to the club before
your first race. Please note that
this form only works in MS Internet Explorer
Option 3
If you are unable to attend a monthly meeting you can also
join our club before any Norwood Cycling Club organized race.
To allow enough time to attend to your membership you will
need to arrive 45 minutes before the start of racing.
